If you are using Open edx (referred hereafter as simply “edX”) , it includes a Free Tier BigBlueButton service provided by Blindside Networks.
The Free Tier service has the following restrictions:
- The maximum length for each session is 60 minutes
- The maximum number of concurrent users per session is 25
- Recordings expire after seven (7) days and are not downloadable
- Student webcams are only visible to the moderator
To remove these limitations you need to have your own BigBlueButton Infrastructure. We provide self-hosted-like flexibility and fully managed hosting for BigBlueButton, you may explore our plan according to your current needs.
Once you subscribe to a Plan you will receive the BigBlueButton LTI Credentials required for the edX integration with BigBlueButton.
